CAP: CIMBA Advantage Program
Start the semester off right with CAP, a series of orientations, workshops, and events that capture the spirit of CIMBA and Italy. CAP includes a comprehensive travelers' orientation, survival Italian, a low-ropes course team-building challenge, and the LIFE or Genesis workshops (you choose which). These events take place within the first two weeks of arrival on campus to help you adapt quickly to your time abroad.
Genesis: Your Journey to Purpose & Connection
Genesis is a 2.5-day comprehensive personal development workshop designed to empower study abroad students to make lasting life improvements. In this supportive, classroom-like environment, dedicated trainers equip students with tools for emotional management and encourage deep introspection and the exploration of identity at each student’s own pace. This workshop is mandatory for people not enrolled in LIFE and will happen during the first few weeks of the program.
LEAP: Learn, Enrich, Achieve, and Perform
Each semester, CIMBA Italy offers undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in the LEAP (Learn, Enrich, Achieve, Perform) program. This leadership and personal development program is a follow-up course to the Genesis program and allows you to further explore what you learned with a team of professors, trainers, and coaches. If you complete LEAP, you will earn three credit hours. If you are interested in enrolling in LEAP, we recommend talking with CIMBA Italy staff and your home institution to find out how your university will accept your LEAP credits. We encourage you to participate in LEAP to obtain the CIMBA Leadership Certificate. This leadership program is highly innovative, and students find it very useful to their professional development.
Live2Influence
Live2Influence is an immersive 2.5-day experience designed to transform your ability to influence. You will join a small team of participants, united by a common goal: enhancing your influence skills. During this journey into the core of human decision-making, you will harness the power of body language and uncover the science behind successful interactions. This is an optional training scheduled during our semester programs. Students taking LEAP have priority in signing up for Live2Influence.
