Ciao everyone!

If you had told me at the start of this semester at CIMBA that I’d manage to hit four countries across two continents in a single spring break, I’d have called you crazy. And.. it was. Yet, it ended up being one of the coolest experiences of my life. Let’s get into it.

The Sahara and Marrakech

We started off our trip with a completely different change of scenery in Morocco. We spent our time exploring the streets of Marrakech and bargaining at the flea markets. Right after, we started heading out to the Sahara desert, which was nearly a 10-hour drive. Out there, we did jeep tours through the dunes, rode camels, went sandboarding, and eventually set up camp to stargaze under the open sky.

Exploring Barcelona

Next, we made our way to Barcelona. We spent our days walking around and taking in the incredible architecture, making sure to see La Sagrada Familia and Parc Güell. We also tried churros dipped in chocolate, which was amazing. As a sports fan who loved watching Messi play growing up, getting to see Camp Nou in person was another amazing experience to add to the list.

Views of Prague

From Spain, we flew east to Prague. We spent our time walking across the historic Charles Bridge, exploring the massive grounds of the Prague Castle, and taking in the vibrant art of the Lennon Wall.

Wrapping Up in Vienna

To wrap up our spring break, we headed to Vienna. We visited the Belvedere, walked through the stunning Austrian National Library, and took in the details of St. Stephens Cathedral. By our last day in Vienna, every single one of us was completely exhausted. However, getting to share these amazing experiences with the amazing people I’ve met at CIMBA was well worth it.

I said it from the beginning, but this experience has indeed been flying by. Five weeks to go- let’s make the most of it.

Grazie,

Srikar
