Financing Study Abroad |

Federal Aid and Scholarships
Most students will be able to use their financial aid and scholarships for the program. Federal law allows government money such as grants and loans to be used for study abroad purposes.
Students must apply for financial aid through their home institution. Students should check with their university to determine the procedure for applying for aid for study abroad programs. The Consortium office will work with other universities to help facilitate the financial aid process, and can provide a budget of estimated costs if it is required. Students must notify the Consortium office if they will be receiving financial aid.
CIMBA Financial Awards
The Consortium offers both merit- and need-based financial awards available for students attending the semester programs. Award amounts vary from year to year based on the number of applications received and funding available. Only students who have applied and been accepted to the program will be considered.
Application Deadline: October 15th - Spring Semester May 1st - Fall Semester
