Admission Requirements

Except for special circumstances, adherence to the following requirements maintains the quality of the CIMBA program:

  • Students must be 18 or older;
  • Students with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher who apply prior to Feb. 1 will be guaranteed acceptance if they meet all other program requirements;
  • Students with a G.P.A. between 2.75 and 3.0 who apply by Feb. 1 will be admitted on a competitive basis. Students will be notified by Feb. 15 of their acceptance;
  • Students applying after February 1st will be admitted on a competitive basis as space permits and charged a $100 late application fee;
  • All students applying after Feb. 1 will be admitted on a competitive basis as space permits;
  • Students must have junior status and/or have taken the general freshman and sophomore prerequisites for the courses they desire.
  • Students must be able to take a normal course load during the program.
  • Students will need a valid US passport or appropriate documentation from their country of citizenship. Non-US citizens should check with their embassies to see if they need a visa to visit Italy and other European countries.
  • Students must sign a liability release form that includes medical release and certification of health insurance coverage.
  • Students will be expected to adhere to acceptable behavioral norms.
