Students learn to work together during the Da Vinci Challenge.
Students participating in the semester program have the opportunity to earn two certificates that will enhance their resume and provide them with exceptional learning opportunities.

CIMBA Kepner-Tregoe Mind Based Performance

The development of students' problem-solving and decision-making skills is incorporated into many aspects of the semester program. Training in this area is provided through CIMBA's learning alliance with Kepner-Tregoe.  All students will be exposed to Kepner-Tregoe methods during the CAP.  Students wishing to earn the K-T certificate must complete additional activities. More information is found in the LEAP description, but students do not have to complete the entire LEAP program to earn the K-T certificate.

CIMBA Certificate in International Studies

To encourage participation in international classes and events, and to reward students for the pursuit of a well-rounded education, CIMBA offers a Certificate in International Studies. To earn this certificate, students must:

  • Notify The University of Iowa Consortium Office of their interest;
  • Complete CIMBA’s semester study abroad program;
  • Complete at least one semester of language study at the student’s home institution or at CIMBA;
  • Successfully complete 06J:168 Management Topics - Business, Culture & Society with a grade of a B or better;
  • Complete two international classes (in addition to 06J:168) while at CIMBA, earning a grade of B or better.
