Before departing for Italy, make sure to consider issues that will arise while studying abroad and make arrangements for someone to handle them. With on-line banking and bill paying, many of these issues are resolved easily. However, it still is important to settle things before leaving for Europe. Items to consider include:
- Who will handle my mail?
- How will I deposit money into my bank account?
- How will my bills be paid?
- Does anything regarding financial aid or scholarships need to be addressed?
- Should someone have power of attorney while I am overseas?
