Italian Visa Instructions

Printable Page
All students not holding European Community citizenship will be required to obtain an Italian Student Visa for the duration of their stay in Italy. Students should contact the nearest Italian consulate to determine requirements. U.S. students may view instructions here.

Upon entry into Italy, students will be asked to present the visa to a customs official. Normally, the official will stamp the accompanying passport and note the date of entry. Within eight days of arrival in Asolo, the CIMBA staff will make arrangements for the Questura to validate each visa.

Accompanying family members may also be required to obtain a visa. For stays of three months or less, family members with US passports are normally not required to have a visa. Students must check with the nearest Italian Consulate for any requirements or restrictions for longer stays or for family members not holding a valid US passport.
