The CIMBA program has two campuses. The MBA, executive and summer graduate study abroad programs take place at the CIMBA campus in Asolo, Italy. The undergraduate study abroad programs take place at the CIMBA campus in the nearby town of Paderno del Grappa. Only a few miles apart and located in the foothills of the Dolomite Mountains in the Veneto region of northern Italy, both facilities provide a wonderful campus experience for students.

In addition to the campus experience, the Veneto region provides the perfect location for increasing awareness and understanding of the functional aspects of international business. Considered beautiful for its natural environment and picturesque old-town centers, the Veneto is home to a flourishing business community unrivalled in Italy and remarkable by European standards. With only 5 million inhabitants, the region boasts more than 450,000 companies, most of which are small and medium-sized; these companies account for nearly 20 percent of Italian exports. Venture capital investment in the Veneto region exceeded 2.7 billion Euros in 2004, which accounted for more than 90 percent of the total for Italy and equaled the venture capital investment for Germany. The Veneto, with its major cities of Venice, Padua, Vicenza, Verona and Treviso, is home to a number of multi-national corporations including Aprilia (motorcycles), Benetton (textiles and apparel), Castelgarden (garden products), Diadora (sporting apparel), Geox (shoes), Lotto (apparel and sporting goods), Luxottica (eyewear), Technica (ski boots and equipment), Pavan (food-processing machinery) and Electrolux (home appliances).

The unique business and living environment provides a foundation not only for learning international business, but also for the contribution it makes to the development of students’ leadership behavior skills and attributes. In this sense, the idyllic international setting gives students, who find themselves out of their comfort zone, a real opportunity to learn about themselves over an extended period of time. The depth and richness of the CIMBA experience in this respect goes well beyond more traditional, knowledge-based, programs.
