CIMBA's Leadership Behavior Model

Printable Page

Leadership skills that allow managers to persuade, motivate, inspire and assist others to higher levels of performance are critical for success. Leaders must receive feedback from multiple sources for meaningful reflection, experimentation and change to develop effective leadership behavior skills.

The CIMBA leadership behavior model is far more than a mere course on leadership; it is a systematic development process embedded into all programs. It is an integrated and holistic approach to building leadership skills that expressly recognizes that good leaders are made, not born, and that leadership capabilities can only be developed through practice, experimentation and feedback. The development of these skills requires considerable time and energy to achieve meaningful results. The development process involves studying the characteristics of leadership, personal reflection, experimentation, receiving feedback, being coached and making continuous improvements over time.

As an integral part of CIMBA’s unique knowledge, process and leadership behavior learning environment, the leadership behavior component provides students with continuous assistance and support to develop their leadership behavior capabilities.
