Competency in Academic Disciplines

As an integral part of CIMBA’s unique knowledge, process, and leadership behavior learning environment, the knowledge component provides students with an understanding of course material by offering classes in business, economics, journalism and communication studies. At CIMBA, the knowledge component is provided by professors carefully selected from a consortium of more than 35 major universities. The vast majority of the professors have been formally recognized for teaching excellence by their home institutions. The CIMBA courses stand on a foundation of superb academic instruction. Student learning is enhanced through small, highly interactive classes emphasizing a question-based, active-learning, active-listening, environment that best encourages student reflection and the open exchange of ideas and information between professors and students. Additionally, considerable emphasis is placed on developing cultural awareness.
