Mind Based Performance |

The CIMBA learning environment focuses on the integration of knowledge, process, and behavior. Mind Based Performance (MBP) recognizes that while an individual may have subject matter competence (knowledge), utilizing this information effectively necessitates both making and communicating decisions (process), and persuading, motivating, and inspiring others to higher levels of performance in implementing decisions (leadership behavior).
The MBP model is based on the conviction that the foundation of a successful career is a commitment to logical, consistent processes for resolving any issue, whether it involves personal; accounting; management; communications; finance; journalism; marketing; or production issues. Through systematic training and the unique ability to practice critical thinking skills, the MBP workshops impress upon students the importance of organizing, analyzing and logically acting upon information in decision making and problem solving.
Mind Based Performance is not about having the technical knowledge to perform a task; it is about effectively supervising and leading others, making decision and problem solving processes visible to others, working together to transform obstacles into innovations and thereby creating a work environment where people are motivated to excellence. CIMBA combines students’ understanding of academic disciplines with managerial process and leadership behavior learning experiences. |
