An Iowa native, she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from Iowa State University in 2001. As a student, Kate discovered her passion for international education working as an intern at the American Chamber of Commerce (U.K.) in London through Iowa State’s Study and Work in Britain Program. After graduation, she helped others plan their international travel as a student travel advisor at STA Travel in downtown Chicago. She returned to Iowa State in 2003 to complete the Master’s Program in Higher Education during which she worked in the College of Business Career Services Office and in the College of Engineering’s International Programs Office. Prior to earning her Master’s degree, Kate spent a summer working in student affairs at the University of Glasgow Crichton Campus in Dumfries, Scotland. Kate is excited to join the Italy Program team and use her personal experiences to assist students, faculty and advisors. |
