The Veneto region of Italy is well known for its physical beauty. Characterized by the Dolomites to the north and the Adriatic Sea to the south, the region provides a wide variety of both summer and winter sports. There are a number of beaches within a one-hour drive south and world-class skiing in Cortina, approximately two-hours north of the campuses. The larger community also enjoys a variety of private clubs offering health facilities, tennis, golf, swimming, white-water rafting, horseback riding and other sports. Although the mountains provide a formidable challenge, a number of students have enjoyed cycling and hiking. Other students with skills in rugby and soccer have joined local teams.
